History

Biyani Girls College started its journey in the year 2005 with the mission to bring changes in the society by the power of education. The directors visualized the better nation and realized that the nation can rise only when the woman is educated and they dreamt to have women empowerment through technical education. Their dream is today actualized when thousands of girls studied in Biyani Girls College have achieved great success in their career.

Kalpana Chawla was one of the role model for Biyani Girls College. They instituted Kalpana Chawla Memorial Award in her fond memory. The father of late Kalpana Chawla, Shri B.L Chawla also joined his hand in this noble venture of Biyani Girls College. He has always believed that there is a Kalpana in each girl. He appreciated the idea of discovering more Kalpanas and motivating them to achieve success in their careers.

Biyani Girls College started KC Awards in the year 2007 and found great enthusiasm among the girls to win the award. The little motivation by positive directors and Sh. B.L. Chawla really changed the thought process of the aspiring girls. The criterion for this award was initially the percentage obtained in the X board examination. But this criterion was changed in the year 2011 with the objective to include all the girl students who have keen desire to be the part of this award. The award was now open to all the students and the criteria to win the award was now Kalpana Chawla Award Entrance Exam which was designed in a way that it examines the analytical and reasoning ability of the students and also their general awareness. There was immense zeal among the students to win the award. They not only took the entrance exam but also gave great competition to each other. Honorable Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot blessed the students who appeared in the exam. The directors always felt that they should encourage girls as much as they can and with this aim they started giving cash prizes to the winners in the year 2012.
